The viscosimetric method of Somatic cells analysis is based on the interaction of Mastoprim preparation with somatic cells as a result of which the consistency of milk changes.
Mastoprin preparatio. Instruction for use
To prepare Mastoprim solution dissolve 3.5g of “Mastoprim” powder in 100cm³ of distilled water preheated to 30-35° C. Before using shake up the solution thoroughly until the sediment dissolves completely.
The solution can be kept for not more than 24 hours at storage temperature of 10-30° C.
After turning the mixing block to the initial position use a pipette or syringe to pour 5 ml of the prepared Mastoprim solution and 10 ml of the strained and mixed milk sample into the analyzer’s flask. To avoid foaming pour the milk sample along the inner wall of the flask.
The acidity of tested milk samples should be from 16 to 21º T, the milk sample temperature should be (20 ±2)ºС.
Average consumption: 1 container (100g) is normally sufficient for 3 months of work (570 samples).
Should be stored in a tightly closed container in a dark place at the ambient temperature from +2 deg. C to +25 deg. C and relative humidity not more than 60%.
Expiration date (of the dry preparation) is 6 month.
